Pictures from a Wheelchair

I finally got a chance to get out to the park (with Barb and M.) and start taking pictures from an operating electric wheelchair. Knock wood.

There are a lot of things you can do from the chair because you are virtually invisible. My arms are pretty weak from the strokes and other add-on diseases, (5 days of infusions start tomorrow), but I was able to lean the Lumix GH3 on a small camera bag and I’m able to shoot at a decent speed, so I really had a lot of fun sitting in the middle of the path around Meer and finally doing some shooting after months of just worrying about health and money.

I plan to put them together in a small book at some point: Pictures from an Electric Wheelchair, tho for some reason it sounds better in French: Photos de fauteuil roulant.

Ironic First Shot

Why this should appeal to me as an opener, is obvious.

Maybe there’s a more idiomatic word for wheelchair in French?

In the Shopping Cart

I loved riding in the shopping cart when my mother went down Gunhill Road to the A&P.
