tomorrow should be interesting. i have an appointment at the Mt. Sinai infusion center to get Entyvio. you get it every two months, normally and it is the first medication i’ve taken for Crohn’s (last two years) that has put Crohn’s into remission.
so in order to get it, i first called my GI doc to see if it was a good idea given the virus et. al. and he said yes.
i don’t have any symptoms so far of the Corona Virus, but that doesn’t mean I’m not a carrier.
i don’t even know if i’ll be able to leave the place tomorrow at 8 a.m. or be stopped at the door.
i’m afraid to ask permission because that will go to A. and he’ll just say no to protect himself.
An. would say yes.
I finally decided to be dressed and ready to go early by sleeping in my clothes tonight, and just nonchalantly asking the morning receptionist for me id card and going.
getting my jacket on is the hardest part. my shoulders are super arthritic. and if there’s anyone i can trust around this joint to help, they may or maynot be on duty.
when i get to the infusion center which is only 6 blocks away – very easy to get to in the chair – they have already told me they’ll be taking my temp and trying to at least make sure i’m not actively sick.
well, that’s the program for tomorrow. if they don’t let me out, and i end up with a flare-up, that is going to be a mess.
today, i’m trying to figure out if the meds that i ran out of, some for high bp, have arrived down in the wellness station, which is really a dispensary from wwI.
my last call went like this:
Hi, this is 410 (my room number) I’d like to find out if my delivery came in from V Pharmacy. Should be in a plastic bag, with three different scripts.
Wellness Lady: we’re giving out drugs now. Call back later.
Me: when should i call back.
Wellness Lady: Call after 11.
Me: Thank – (click)
